A very large piece of land has been made available by the Swellendam Municipality without charge. The aim was then to construct a crèche in “Du Toits Rus Bufeljagsrivier”, which will provide access to early –learning education and play for 100 children. The Creche, provides grade R and pre – primary education and a place to stay safely while their parents, the farm workers, are at work. Arisa is helping this project by sponsoring the building materials. |

| Children in this very poor community are being fed on a daily basis. They are being fed from a private house in Cooper Street. There was a need for a small kitchen in order to adapt the growing amount of children that came to ear. Arisa, donated money to build this kitchen. |

| The Swellendam Bursary Fund was established in 2005 to commemorate the Swellendam’s Bus Disaster which happened in 1975. The purpose of this fund is to honor the memory of the 28 teachers and learners who died in the accident by providing bursaries to get higher education for students from the Swellendam Area. Arisa is donating every year to this fund as well. |
